Concrete material calculator

Switch metric or imperial display without changing the measurement; meaningful minimums are 0.001 m, 0.001 m², and 0.000001 m³.
Choose a rectangular slab or repeated cylindrical holes.
m
Actual rectangular slab length.
m
Actual rectangular slab width.
cm
Enter required finished depth, not excavation allowance.
Use the actual volume stated on the product label.
%
Enter 0–50%; adjust for cuts and site conditions.
Bag cost uses whole bags to buy multiplied by this price.
Enter per m³ in metric or per yd³ in imperial; switching units preserves the same price.

Concrete material calculator

Estimate concrete volume in m³ or yd³ and whole bags for a rectangular slab or repeated cylindrical holes. privacy-first-browser-tooling

Who it helps

  • Compare net volume, volume after 0–50% waste, and bags rounded up from the selected product yield.
  • Rectangular volume = length × width × depth; cylindrical volume = π × (diameter ÷ 2)² × depth × count. Bags = ceil(adjusted volume ÷ bag yield). Optional bag cost = whole bags × bag price; optional volume cost = adjusted volume × price per m³ after converting any per-yd³ price. All prefilled values are editable starting examples, not universal construction standards; adjust them for the product, supplier requirements, and site conditions. To avoid meaningless zero results, lengths must be at least 0.001 m, areas at least 0.001 m², and volumes at least 0.000001 m³.
  • 4 m × 3 m × 0.1 m, 10% waste, and 0.012 m³ per bag gives 1.2 m³ net, 1.32 m³ adjusted, and 110 bags.

FAQ

Concrete material calculator: What measurements are required?

For a rectangular slab, enter length, width, and depth. For cylindrical holes, enter diameter, depth, and count. Choose metric or imperial display, then enter the product yield per bag and 0–50% waste.

Concrete material calculator: How are volume, bags, and costs calculated?

Rectangular net volume = length × width × depth. Cylindrical net volume = π × (diameter ÷ 2)² × depth × count. Adjusted volume multiplies by (1 + waste), then adjusted volume ÷ bag yield is rounded up. Optional bag cost = whole bags × bag price. Optional volume cost = adjusted volume × price per m³; a per-yd³ price is converted first. These are independent estimates.

Concrete material calculator: What does the estimate leave out?

It does not include reinforcement, forms, sub-base, pumping, delivery minimums, curing, loads, structural design, or code decisions. Invalid dimensions, zero yield, or out-of-range quantities return an error. Check the actual product yield and order terms with the supplier.

Concrete material calculator: Are measurements, prices, or results sent anywhere?

No. Measurements, waste, bag yield, optional prices, and results are calculated locally in the browser and are not uploaded or stored. GA4 may receive only allowlisted tool, category, and locale context, never the entered values or results.
