Load the current ECDC list, choose a country present in that list, and optionally enter part of an area name. Country and area text are filtered only in browser memory and are not sent to GoGo Tools or ECDC. The tool does not request location, address, itinerary, symptoms, or medical history.

Results cover only current-season provider-reported locally acquired human cases; animal surveillance is excluded. An affected area has at least one such case. First reported this week means the affected area was not included in the previous weekly overview; it is not an infection or onset date. Probable and confirmed cases are provider surveillance classifications, and total cases are their sum. No name match means only that the text is absent from the current list; it does not mean no transmission, mosquito exposure, or personal health risk.

Successful backend data is cached for 24 hours. If ECDC times out, changes format, or is unavailable, the tool may show a clearly stale public snapshot fetched no more than 8 days ago; otherwise it shows no area results. Surveillance may have reporting lag, later revisions, geocoding differences, or incomplete surveillance. This is surveillance information, not diagnosis, a personal-risk score, or a travel-safety decision. Ask a public-health authority or qualified clinician for health advice.

The GoGo Tools backend fetches only the fixed ECDC page. CC BY 4.0 applies to ECDC-owned material; contributed surveillance data follow ECDC’s “Third party data in ECDC databases” terms, with the prescribed English attribution and a modification notice. The public snapshot contains no visitor data. A source IP is HMAC-pseudonymized only inside a service instance for a 30-request-per-10-minute limit, and the key is not logged. GA4 contains only tool, category, locale, and normalized state—not country, area, or results.
